Autograph Letter Signed "J.S. Mill" to François Buloz, Director of the "Revue des deux Mondes" Paris the 10.31.1848 (In 1847-1848, Buloz Francis is also director of the "Comedie Francaise").

Extremely rare, letter written in french with envelope and the seal of the philosophe !!!

"Sir,

I had the honour to receive your ticket from October 10, in which you tell me about Mr. Leon Faucher´s will to make a report about my Treaty of Political Economics in the Revue des Deux Mondes.

Despite exposing you my appreciation of why the project you announced me is flattering for me, I must however tell you that the political and radical views of Mr. Faucher, and those of the Revue des Deux

Mondes, deviate so much from mine, that far from wishing for my book a review made in their views, I would regret on the contrary that it could be the subject of an article which principles would be opposed to mine.

So I thank you, Mr, for letting me abstain myself to send a copy to the Revue´s correspondent, as you ask me.

Please receive, Sir, the assurance of my highest consideration.
